Published September 8th, 2022 by NYTPS Inc

Although most of us wish we were kids again, we only vaguely remember what it was like to stop the summer fun and start studying! Although summer is an excellent way for you and your family to enjoy adventures and spend more time together, transitioning back to school can sometimes be intimidating for all involved. Use these tips to train your kid's brain to get back in the swing of school!

  • Wake Up Time: Make sure you make an effort to get your child out of bed a few weeks before school starts at their usual time to get ready for school. This transition is one of the hardest for your child to become accustomed to accomplishing

  • Organize Their School Stuff Place: One of the biggest complaints of parents is keeping the house organized and not finding backpacks and lunch boxes on the couch, on their beds, or just thrown on the floor. Create a space where your child becomes accustomed to where they should drop their bags when they get home from school.

  • Prepare Your Child for Future Assignments: All those trips to the water park and bike riding didn't exactly train your child's brain for the focus schooling entails. Now is an excellent time to get your child back on track by encouraging reading, history, and math sessions to get your child's brain fired towards learning again.

  • Get Your Child Excited! Positivity is pertinent at this time of the year! Discuss the pros of what they will be learning this year while offering encouraging words about their teacher, school, and curriculum!

Returning to school is both an exciting and stressful time for parents and children. These simple tips will ensure your kid is at the top of their class the whole school year through!
