Our NYTPS team has a talent acquisition department that recruits Speech Language Pathologists, Clinical Fellows, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social workers, and Licensed Psychologists (PhD and PsyD) to service students (3-5 & K-12) who have an IEP. We are looking for special qualities that make YOU stand out! These include, but are not limited to, being passionate about helping children, being responsive, organized and detail-oriented, and reaching out when you need assistance! We have a supervisor available in every department and they are here to support our providers.
Our Talent Acquisition Department has a large database of therapists that we can contact to provide these related services. Our marketing and recruitment for therapists is done through LinkedIn, Indeed, social media, mass emails, referrals, and workshops. The Talent Acquisition team welcomes resumes and reaches out to all who apply, as well as referrals from our current providers. We do also offer a referral fee, so ask a Talent Acquisition Specialist for more details about that!
Once a provider expresses interest, we set up a video phone conference to meet all our providers face to face. The providers get to meet with the Talent Acquisition Specialists and Placement Coordinators to make sure the placement is a good fit on both ends! Throughout working with NYTPS you will develop a strong relationship/bond with your Placement Coordinator so meeting face to face is important to us!
Once onboarding begins, we then collect all the necessary documents which are needed to comply with NYS/DOE regulations. The first step in this process is to verify your fingerprints with the NYC Department of Education. If you are not printed already, we can get you set up to get those prints done. Most of the onboarding process can be completed right through our Talent Center, which is our online platform to collect all of your personal credentials. This is not only a safe and secure platform, but also makes it very simple for our providers to complete their onboarding and in turn, be able to take cases sooner.
