We've all heard that we must watch our diets, social drinking, exercise routines, and waistlines for optimum health. However, there is another factor that causes more health issues than probably the above four items combined. This concern would be our stress level. When times get a little chaotic, our bodies keep the score.

Physical Symptoms of Stressful Living

A little stress now and then is not something that shouldn't be too much of a concern. Ongoing and chronic stress can cause or worsen many serious health problems, both mentally and physically

  • Cardiovascular diseases which include heart disease, high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, heart attacks, and strokes
  • Obesity and other eating disorders
  • Menstrual problems
  • Sexual dysfunction, such as impotence in men and loss of sexual desire in both sexes
  • Skin and hair problems, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and permanent hair loss
  • Gastrointestinal problems include GERD, gastritis, ulcerative colitis, and irritable bowel syndrome
