Our agency, founded by a team of Occupational Therapists, understands the impact of highly trained providers. New York State licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) are responsible for providing occupational therapy services to preschool and school aged children and/or conducting occupational therapy assessment and evaluations.
They are also available to provide services for services for medically fragile individuals, birth-adulthood and home-care, and medical settings for Adults. OTs travel throughout all 5 boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and The Bronx), Nassau and Suffolk County.
OT providers work on restoring neuro-musculoskeletal function, gross/fine motor in many educational activities. Our OT providers help medically fragile infants and children within the pre-school and school aged settings. They develop and implement mandated IEP goals and services.
They work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure continuity and planning. The main goal is to restore sensory, perceptual, cognitive and psycho-social functioning. There is also a strong emphasis on developing adaptive behaviors such as Activities of Daily Living.
Our OT's also work with the geriatric populations. Our services will evaluate the person's medical history, formulate patient goals and develop treatment plans. They will establish daily routines and monitor progress. These plans are individualized to the patient, and are modified to meet the needs.
