New York State licensed Physical Therapists (PT) are responsible for providing physical therapy services to preschool and school age children and/or conducting physical therapy assessments and evaluations.
We also have Physical Therapists (PT) who work with the adult population. Physical Therapists are available throughout all 5 boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and The Bronx) Nassau and Suffolk County.
Our Physical Therapists work on restoring physical function of gross motor skills in many educational activities. Our PT providers help medically fragile infants and children within the pre-school and school aged settings. They develop and implement mandated IEP goals and services. They work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure continuity and planning. The main goal is to restore motor functioning and compensate for any motor deficit so the child can participate in all activities as independently as possible.
These services will evaluate the person's medical history, formulate patient goals and develop treatment plans. They will establish daily routines and monitor progress. These plans are individualized to the patient, and are modified to meet the needs.
