SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY AT NYTPS
Speech Language Pathology services are provided across a lifespan, birth-adulthood. Available Monolingual & Bilingual New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are responsible for providing speech therapy services to preschool and school age children and/or conducting assessments and evaluations in schools and homes. They are also available to provide speech language pathology services for medically fragile individuals and home-care, and medical settings for Adults.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists
Our Speech-Language Pathologists travel throughout all 5 boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and The Bronx), Nassau and Suffolk County. Many of the Speech-Language Pathologists are affiliated with the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Our Speech Therapy Placement Coordinators have years of experience making a match between therapists and clients. They love helping families understand the process for services, and referrals.
Speech Therapy and Speech Language Pathology
The team makes accommodations for referral requests and will place therapists for specific types of therapy such as PROMPT therapy, treatment of feeding/swallowing disorders, auditory processing, expressive and receptive language delays, articulation and fluency. Therapists also have extensive experience working with clients who are medically fragile, and have tracheotomy and ventilators which impact speech production.
